Growing crops from store bought or home grown produce is exhilarating! Celery is one of the easier vegetables to grow from scraps. To start your homegrown celery plant, cut off the bottom of the celery stalk, about 1-2 inches is good. Next set the cut celery piece bottom down in a cup or bowl with water. The water should be below the top of the celery cut, call it halfway up or less. Put the celery scrap plant in the window or on the top of the refrigerator and you will see sprouts on the top within a few days!
